Lincoln Sunrise

On Sunday, April 30, 2023, Lincoln Sunrise Kiwanis celebrated their 50th Anniversary at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Lincoln. Sunrise Kiwanis was chartered on April 26, 1973. Governor Lynda Henningsen and Lt. Governor George Cook helped us celebrate and spoke to the attendees. Certificates were presented to all attendees who have been members of Kiwanis for 20 or more years. Longest serving member is Glen Dappen who has been a member for 46 years. A proclamation congratulating Lincoln Sunrise Kiwanis on our 50th anniversary was received from Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen and read to the attendees.

We meet on the Second and Fourth Thursday of each month at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital, 5401 South Street,  Lincoln, NE. Breakfast at 6:30 am, Program at 7:00 am

The Lincoln Sunrise is dedicated to serving the local community through various service and fundraising projects. Our club has been in service to our community for more than 40 years. We are part of Kiwanis International, an organization serving children for over 100 years.
